Do I need experience in construction or real estate?

No. We train you on installation procedures, equipment, and daily operations. What matters most is reliability, organization, and a willingness to be hands-on. The work itself is simpler than people expect — quick, easy to learn, and something you'll repeat all the time.

Is this a hands-on business?

Yes, entirely. Built for owner-operators who plan to be in the truck and on the lawn, at least at the start. Not designed for absentee or passive investors.

How long does it take to get up and running?

It varies, but many approved candidates launch shortly after completing training and setup. We walk you through each step.

What makes this different from starting on my own?

You get the brand, the training, the systems, defined territory rights, and ongoing support, instead of building everything from scratch and hoping you guessed right.

How do I apply?

Fill out the application. We review every submission and reach out to strong-fit candidates.

What if I'm not sure I'm a fit?

Apply anyway. The first call is partly so you can ask questions and decide whether this is something you actually want. No obligation either way.

Can I run this with a partner or spouse?

Yes. Many owners run the business as a couple or with a partner. We just need to know during application so we can set expectations on roles and approvals.

What does a typical workday look like?

Installing and removing sign posts, planning efficient routes, and keeping up with your realtors. Your customer is the realtor, not the homeowner. Most of it is text, email, and phone, with the odd meeting — realtors are busy and just want fast, dependable service. What matters is being reliable and communicating well, not door-to-door selling. Most work happens locally within your territory.

How do franchise owners find customers?

By building direct relationships with local realtors and brokerages. Signage is a recurring need, which tends to turn into long-term, repeat work once trust is established.

Is this a seasonal business?

Real estate has rhythms, but signs go up and come down year-round. Demand can ebb with the market, but it doesn't stop.

What kind of hours will I work?

You set your own schedule. It's full-time and owner-operated — most owners put in 30–40+ hours a week, and you can work evenings or weekends if that suits you. As long as the work gets done, the hours are yours.

Do I need to hire employees right away?

No. Most owners start solo and add help only if and when the business grows.

Do I need a truck?

Yes — you'll need a reliable vehicle that can handle hauling and installing posts. We go over the specifics for your area during discovery.

Category 03 / 04 Investment · 3 Qs

How much does the franchise cost?

Investment requirements vary by territory and market. We don't publish a single number because the right answer depends on the area you're looking at. Qualified applicants receive full investment details during discovery, including our official franchise disclosure documents.

Are territories protected?

Yes. Each franchise has a defined territory, so you're not competing with another Sign Post Guy® owner in your own market. Specifics are discussed during discovery.

Is there a minimum capital requirement?

Yes. As with any franchise opportunity, there is a minimum capital requirement to ensure owners are positioned to launch and operate their business successfully. Exact investment details vary by territory and are shared with qualified applicants during the discovery process.

Category 04 / 04 Support · 2 Qs

What training and support do I get?

Hands-on initial training covering installs, equipment, operations, and looking after your realtor clients. None of it is complicated. After launch, you get continued support: operational guidance, system updates, and access to the team.

What does ongoing support actually look like?

A real person you can reach. Updates to systems and best practices. Operational troubleshooting when something comes up that wasn't in training.
